Qaladze Private Institute for Computer Sciences visits the AI Department at UHD

A group of over 75 students from Qaladze Private Institute for Computer Sciences travelled a long distance to visit the UHD campus and see its learning facilities, as well as to visit the Artificial Intelligence Department, on 2nd December 2024. The UHD Students Unit welcomed them and guided them throughout their visit. Qaladze Private Institute for Computer Sciences is located in the town of Qaladze in the northeast of the Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
Mr Abdulbasit Muhammed Qadir, Assistant Lecturer in the Computer Department, explained the study programme at the newly opened AI Department at UHD. He said that, considering the importance of AI technology in modern times, UHD believes that it has become necessary to develop an academic programme and open a department for the study of Artificial Intelligence. Mr Qadir also encouraged the students to set goals and have ambitions for the future.
Following the presentation, the students toured the UHD campus, including the medical labs in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department and the facilities in the Nursing Department.
