UHD female student wins fourth place in the Universities Chess Tournament for Girls

UHD received a group of schoolgirls from Haji Prshing Sheikh Rashid Secondary School

A group of 60 students from Haji Prshing Sheikh Rashid Secondary School visited the University of Human Development on 12 November 2024. The UHD Students Unit received them and guided them through the UHD campus. Haji Prshing Sheikh Rashid Secondary School is a basic school in Sulaymaniyah for girls. It is for Grades 7-9.
Several lecturers from the UHD English Department delivered speeches to the visiting students at Prof. Dr Ali Qaradaghi Hall, talking about life at the university generally and describing the academic departments and different units at UHD. The lecturers tried to help the students develop goals and work for them. They said that it is very important for students at this age to know what they would want to be in the future.
The students were then guided to the medical labs at the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department for a presentation about the work of the medical labs and courses students in that department study. The Nursing Department and its labs were another place the students visited.
