English Department students showcase their translation skills

Students at the English Department at the University of Human Development organised a translation activity in which they translated selected brief sayings, proverbs and idioms from English into Kurdish and Arabic. They did it in a small exhibition where they had the translated pieces in large print and hung on the walls to be easily read.
The Department’s Head Dr Sabir Hassan Rasul gave a short talk following the opening and said they wanted to build confidence in their students and help them practice the translation theories they have learned.
