Semester 5 students in the Accounting Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Human Development, completed the Zoho Books accounting training course. The course started on December 1st and ended on December 15th, 2024. The supervising lecturer was Mr Hemn Salih Mahmood.

Zoho Books is an online accounting software for managing finances, sales, marketing, and more. Companies and small businesses use it to keep up with their invoices and foster excellent customer relationships through information sharing and enhanced communication. The program increases efficiency for businesses and makes them more profitable.

The training course aimed to familiarise students with the Zoho Books online accounting software and help them practice the knowledge they have gained. After completing the course, students would be able to:

·         Create a company file

·         Create an accounting tree

·         Record company capital gains and losses

·         Record expenses

·         Record revenues and sales

·         Enter accounting reports, such as the ledger, trial balance, balance sheet, and income statement.
