Human Development (UHD), and Dr Mazen Ismaeel Ghareb, Head of the Artificial
Intelligence and Data Science Department at the College of Science and
Technology at UHD, were keynote speakers at a panel discussing the role of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. The panel, themed ‘Artificial
Intelligence in Education - Global and Regional Insights,’ aimed to explore how
AI is transforming educational systems both globally and within the Kurdistan

the Margret Education Community, invited dozens of researchers, professionals,
and academicians to explore the topic and share their insights regarding the
increasing role of AI in the education sector; among them were the
aforementioned lecturers from UHD. In his seminar titled ‘Technology is the
Future,’ Dr Al-Ani provided a forward-looking analysis of how technologies are
shaping global life, including the educational landscape. He highlighted the

his part, focused on local perspectives and the current AI applications in the
Kurdistan Region’s schools and universities. He addressed both the challenges
and opportunities of integrating AI to enhance teaching effectiveness and study
outcomes in the region. His seminar was titled ‘Teaching the Future: How AI is
