The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Human Development conducted a workshop on the JASP statistics programme, titled ‘Statistical analysis with JASP: enhancing research skills for academic excellence’, and was delivered by lecturer Mr Osman Siddiq. The workshop was designed to help the attendees become familiar with the JASP's features and practical applications. Mr Siddiq introduced JASP, emphasising its user-friendly interface and the integration of classical and Bayesian analysis. He demonstrated the programme’s core functionalities such as descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, regression analysis, and advanced techniques like factor analysis and structural equation modelling, providing practical examples to enhance understanding.

The workshop saw active participation from various colleges, reflecting a strong interest in enhancing their statistical skills. It concluded with a question-and-answer session. Participants later gave positive feedback, appreciating the depth and clarity of the presentation, and expressed their intent to incorporate JASP into their research workflows. The workshop underscored the university's commitment to supporting the professional development of its faculty members through such educational initiative.
