Prof. Dr Saman Fawzi, from the Department of Law at the University of Human Development, participated as an instructor in a two days course on the role of government institutions’ spokespersons in providing information to, interacting and building relationships with journalists and the media. The course was organised by Civil Development Organisation for 14 government agencies in Sulaymaniyah on 12th-13th October 2022.

Prof. Dr Fawzi is a permanent member of the teaching staff at the aforementioned department.

The course aimed at training and improving the skills of the government institutions’ spokespersons within the current laws in the Kurdistan Region on the provision of information to journalists and the legal framework for working with them, and what information journalists are entitled to receive from the government.
