A joint forum on quality was held between the College of Economics and Administration at the University of Human Development (UHD), Iraqi Kurdistan Union of Engineers and University of Wolverhampton at UHD, Seminar Hall, on 7^th February 2022 titled ‘Quality: from Culture to Practice’. The speakers were Mr Farooq Muhammad from UHD, Mr Nawzad Othman from Engineers Union and Dr Ibrahim Salih from University of Wolverhampton. It was attended by more than 70 lecturers and students.

The forum aimed at explaining the concept of ‘quality’ from a cultural and practical point of view, impediments to the implementation of quality control, changes and new requirements of quality at different sectors, the role of quality in promoting trade and business, and discussing these issues by the audience. The forum focussed on the meaning and definition of quality, the latest development in quality control and quality assurance, different implementation methods of quality control and quality assurance, and practising quality control at Sulaimani cement factories.

All these issues were discussed at length by the speakers and, finally, the participants had their time to ask questions and give their views on the matters related to quality.
