Mr Mariwan shed light on preparing coursebooks for the subjects taught at different levels and gave some important tips. He emphasised on teacher’s self-development through research and writing academic papers, organising seminars, workshops, symposiums and debates at the university, national or international levels, holding and/or participating in national and international conferences and the like.

Quality assurance is an important unit in Kurdistan Region’s universities and institutions. As the name suggests, quality assurance pays attention to the quality of teaching and academic activities and makes sure that teachers have collected passing points by the end of each academic year.

UHD has a central quality assurance unit administering and supervising quality assurance units at the colleges. This is to facilitate and, at the same time, unify the work to make sure that nothing would go wrong.
