University of Human Development honours its students for winning Huawei ICT Competition

The President of the University of Human Development (UHD) and members of the Presidential Council met the UHD student winners of the Huawei ICT Competition, on Thursday, 4th of January, 2024.

President Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed hailed the success of the four UHD students and said it was a great achievement. He mentioned that the university had strongly supported them in every stage of the competition and was confident that they would make everyone proud, especially their university. He finally presented Appreciation Certificates and prizes to them.

Previously and in a special event, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government and Huawei Company in Iraq awarded Iraqi student winners of the competition including UHD students. Click here for details.

Huawei Information and Communication Technology Company held a competition for the academic year 2023-2024 for Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries in which more than 27,500 students from over 600 universities across 21 countries participated. Iraq was one of those countries whose students managed to reach the final stage. It was not a surprise that UHD students dominated the Iraqi team and made history for themselves and their country.
