During his recent return to Kurdistan, in April-May 2025, the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Professor Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Al-Qaradaghi, visited the institutions and establishments that he owns.

Among those institutions was the University of Human Development (UHD). His Excellency is the Head of the Board of Trustees of the university; the board is responsible for making important decisions for the institution. During his visit to UHD, he held meetings with the members of the university’s Presidential Council and discussed various issues related to the performance of the institution and plans for its expansion and future development. Prof. Dr Qaradaghi thanked the Presidential Council for their persistent efforts and significant role in advancing the university.

In return, the President of UHD, Professor Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, thanked Dr Qaradaghi for his ongoing support, as well as his close relationship and oversight of this institution, which aims to promote science and education in Kurdistan and serve its people.

Prof. Dr Qaradaghi took his visit to UHD as an opportunity to meet in person with four UHD students and a lecturer from the College of Science and Technology, who participated in the international Huawei ICT Competition 2024-25 and emerged as top winners. Dr Qaradaghi praised their success and awarded them prizes from Huawei, in addition to his own recognition.

The UHD President and several members of the Presidential Council accompanied Dr Qaradaghi and attended some of his visits and meetings.
