International Symposium: The Middle East after ISIS

DCRT held an International Symposium about the developments in the Middle East titled "The Middle East after ISIS" on 29 April 2017. It consisted of three panels. The first panel by Dr Maria Clausen focused on state-building in conflict areas, comparing the cases of Yemen and Iraq, the second panel by Mr Kardo Karim Rashed addressed the issue of rising Shia armed groups in the Middle East, and the last panel by Mr Salam Abdulqadir Abdulrahman discussed the feasibility of Kurdish independence before and after the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. 

The activity was held at the University of Human Development. Details of which can be found in the poster.
