Certificate Award Ceremony held for participants of the 10th Course, 2nd Group, of Pedagogy Training

Participants of the 10th Course, 2nd Group, of pedagogical training at the University of Human Development attended a ceremony on Thursday, 4 March 2025, to mark the completion of their training and receive their certificates. The 2nd Group started the course on 6 August 2024 and finished it on 6 February 2025.
The UHD President, Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, the President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr Anwar Muhammed Faraj, and the President’s Assistant for Financial Affairs, Asst Prof. Dr Hiwan Abubakir Ali, along with members of the university’s presidential council, attended the event. The director of the Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre, Asst Prof. Dr Ahmed Omar Bali, invited the President to hand out Certificates of Completion to the successful participants of the course.
The President congratulated the participants, who are now graduates, on this significant achievement and stated that they were fortunate to study pedagogy at one of the best pedagogical centres in the Kurdistan Region. He mentioned that UHD supported the Kurdistan Regional Government to train teachers for pedagogical centres in Kurdistan by funding the first group of teachers to attend an intensive programme in Finland. He further added that the pedagogical centre at UHD would continue to train its students in advanced and modern teaching methods and provide all necessary facilities. He expressed his confidence that the graduates would teach with high ethics and professionalism at higher education institutions.
Completing pedagogical training is compulsory for Master’s and PhD holders in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to qualify for teaching at universities and institutes. The duration of the course is six months. UHD offers the course twice a year at a reduced rate. It is usually advertised in the UHD media prior to opening.
