Bakhtyar Ahmed Muhammed successfully completed his undergraduate courses at the College of Science and Technology at the University of Human Development. Inspired by his studies at UHD, he decided to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. He wrote his thesis on brain tumour analysis using deep learning techniques and obtained his degree in 2021. While he was an MSc student, Bakhtyar co-authored several research papers published in local and international journals. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Valladolid, Spain.

Bakhtyar’s continuous success at these stages would have been impossible without the help and guidance of the Dean of the College of Science and Technology at UHD, Prof. Dr Muzhir Shaban Al-Ani. Bakhtyar greatly benefited from Prof. Al-Ani’s knowledge and expertise during his BA at UHD; he also had him as his supervisor for his MSc degree and now for his PhD. The University of Valladolid in Spain was very pleased to assign Prof. Al-Ani to supervise Bakhtyar’s PhD.
