Nostalgia Institute conducted an English language course for prospective students at UHD
Certificate Award Ceremony held for the First Group of the 10th Course of Pedagogy Training

Participants of the 10th Course, Group 1, of pedagogical training at the University of Human Development attended a ceremony on Wednesday, 30th October 2024, to receive their completion certificates. The 10th course began on 30th March and ended on 30th September.
The UHD president, Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, and members of the university’s presidential council attended the event. The director of the Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre invited the UHD president to present Certificates of Completion to 31 participants who successfully completed the course.
The President congratulated the graduates on their achievement and said that they were fortunate for having to study pedagogy at one of the best pedagogical centres in Kurdistan. He mentioned that UHD supported the Kurdistan Regional Government in its plan to train teachers for pedagogical centres in Kurdistan by funding the first group of teachers to attend an intensive programme in Finland. He further added that the pedagogical centre at UHD would continue to train its students on the most advanced and modern teaching methods and provide all the necessary facilities. He expressed his confidence in the graduates that they would teach with high ethics and professionalism at the higher education institutions.
Completing pedagogical training is compulsory for Master’s and PhD holders in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to be qualified for teaching at universities and institutes. The duration of the course is six months. UHD opens the course twice a year at a reduced rate. It is usually advertised on the UHD media before opening.
