The University of Human Development (UHD) President, Professor Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, visited the Kurdistan Region’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Aram Muhammed Qadir, at his office in Erbil on 28 August 2024. 

The Higher Education Minister warmly received the UHD President and President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr Anwar Muhammed Faraj, and expressed his appreciation for their efforts and the important role and contribution of the University of Human Development to the development of science and education in Kurdistan. For their part, the UHD President thanked Dr Aram for his consistent and constant support of UHD and also for his determination to promote the higher education sector, both public and private, in Kurdistan. 

The UHD President reaffirmed the market-orientated policies of his university and reiterated the fact that past efforts have had a positive result for the university’s graduates; many of them now serve people and the country through the jobs they have.

The meeting with the Higher Education Minister was cordial and held in a positive atmosphere.
