University of Human Development and Kurdistan Health Workers Syndicate sign Memorandum of Understanding

The University of Human Development and Kurdistan Health Workers Syndicate—Sulaymaniyah branch signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 6th December 2023. Both sides have agreed on holding joint academic and scientific activities and improving their members' professional skills.

According to the MoU, UHD will open training courses for the syndicate members, provide full scholarships for two members, and allow its campus to be used for joint activities including its medical labs.

The Health Workers Syndicate will facilitate visits for UHD students to hospitals and health centres for scientific purposes, and provide information to students on health and administrative regulations and guidelines in the hospitals.

The agreement’s duration is one year and can be renewed upon the consent of both sides.

Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, UHD President, represented UHD and Mr Hawzhin Othman, president of and represented Kurdistan Health Workers Syndicate—Sulaymaniyah branch in the MoU.

UHD has two health colleges, namely the College of Health Sciences and the College of Nursing.
