The Nursing Department has run a First Aid course for the lecturers and employees at the University of Human Development (UHD), 2nd-9th May 2023.

The course mainly focused on the most important lifesaving technique, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the participants were guided through practicing the technique on Manikins. CPR comes among other steps known as DRSABCD; Danger, Response, Send, Airway, Breathing, CPR, and Defibrillation. All these steps were explained in detail.

Instructors at the course also explained the emergency procedures for fainting, seizures, choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, drowning, bites and stings, and heart attack and stroke.

Participants expressed their gratitude to the instructors and were quite happy with what they have learned from the course.
