UHD opens educational course on communication technology for public schools

The University of Human Development has opened an educational course on the use of communication technology for public schools in the city of Sulaymaniyah. It comprises a series of workshops, the first of which was delivered on 14th January 2023.

The aim of the course is to increase awareness about the problems with social media networks and other platforms, and how to use them in the most appropriate way for educational purposes. The course is open to students, parents of students, and teachers at public schools.

The first workshop was run at Ibrahim Ahmed School. It was delivered by Dr Mazen Ismaeel Ghareb, head of the Department of Computer Science. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr Muzhir Shaban Mohammed, dean of the College of Science and Technology, and Mr Karwan Mohammed Hamakarim from the Department of Information Technology.

UHD collaborates with the General Directorate of Education in Sulaymaniyah based on a collaborative agreement signed several years ago. There has so far been a number of educational courses and workshops opened by UHD for public schools and employees at the General Directorate.
