The University of Human Development (UHD) and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) held three days training workshop together about ‘futures studies’ on UHD campus on 3rd-6th July 2022. They were delivered by Dr Abdul Wahed Jalal Nori from IIUM and Asst Prof. Dr Ahmed Omar Bali from UHD.

The focal point of the workshops was the futures studies; future problems can be foreseen and prevented by taking proper measures, potentials can be found and plans can be developed to make use of them, and recommendations can be made to the political authority and other relevant sides. This is an important area for universities to have a big role in through scientific researches.

Participants were led to take practical training on the methodologies employed in future studies.

More than 20 lecturers and specialists attended the workshops.

On another note, Dr Abdul Wahed was received by the UHD Presidential Council and his contribution was highly appreciated.
