Master’s Degree in Political Science is awarded at UHD

A Master’s Degree was awarded at the University of Human Development (UHD) in the field of Political Science to Ms Paryan Ahmed Zardash. Her thesis was discussed under the title ‘Evaluating the experience of transitional justice in Iraq after 2003’. The jury was held in the Seminar Hall today, 4th July 2022.

The jury members were: Asst Prof. Dr Amin Faraj Shareef from Salahaddin University (head of the jury), Asst Prof. Dr Kanaan Hama Gharib Abdullah from the University of Human Development (member), Asst Prof. Dr Jalal Hussein Mustafa from Sulaimani University (member) and Prof. Dr Rasheed Ammara Yas from Sulaimani University (member and supervisor).

The examination of the thesis and discussion of the subject lasted about three hours, and the candidate was able to answer the questions and defended what she has written in her thesis. Finally, the jury decided to accept Ms Paryan’s thesis by a unanimous vote.

Ms Paryan is a UHD alumnus. She did her Bachelor Degree in Political Science. She was among the top students in her department.

The awarded degree was part of the Joint Master Programme between UHD and Sulaimani University which covers several study areas including Law, Political Science, Economics, Banking and Finance, and English Language.
