Master’s Degree is awarded at UHD

A Master’s Degree thesis was discussed at a viva voce at the University of Human Development (UHD) today, 22nd June 2022. The candidate was Mr Shadi Ghazi Abdulkarim, and his thesis was on ‘Constitutional and legal organisation of the independent boards in a legal state: Iraq as an example after the 2005 Constitution’.

The jurors were: Prof. Dr Anwar Muhammad Faraj from UHD (head of the jury), Asst Prof. Dr Abid Khalid Rasul from Sulaimani University (member), Asst Prof. Dr Omed Rafiq Fatah from Jihan University-Sulaymaniyah (member) and Dr Latif Mustafa Amin from UHD (member and supervisor).

The examination of the thesis and discussion of the subject lasted about three hours, and the candidate was able to give convincing answers to the questions and defend what he had put in his thesis. Finally, the jury decided to accept Mr Shadi’s thesis by a unanimous vote.

This academic activity is part of a Joint Master Programme between UHD and Sulaimani University which covers several study areas including Law, Political Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Banking and Finance, and English Language.
