UHD’s 11th International Scientific Conference holds closing ceremony

The University of Human Development (UHD)’s 11th International Scientific Conference held the closing ceremony in Prof. Dr Ali Qaradaghi Hall today 12th June 2022 with the attendance of the researchers and notable guests. The conference was held under the title ‘Economic and Administrative Reform: Necessities and Challenges’.

At the opening ceremony yesterday, the UHD President Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed gave the welcome speech via a recorded video since he could not attend the conference in person, and the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Prof. Dr Muhsin Ibrahim Ahmed explained the agenda of the conference for the audience. The value and necessity of holding scientific conferences in the Kurdistan Region were emphasised in the later speeches.

The conference had an intensive agenda. 54 research papers were accepted by the conference’s scientific committee. Some of the researches were single authored and some others were co-authored. The authors were from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and several foreign countries; Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Turkey, and Norway. The papers’ presentations were organised into many sessions and managed at the classrooms of Building C, UHD campus. 

The conference lasted two days. Accommodations and all the other facilities needed for the conference were provided.
