The President of the University of Human Development (UHD) Prof Dr. Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed has awarded the UHD Glass Plaque to the young lad Aro Dana Fayaq in recognition of his achievement at the Google Hash Code 2022 competition.

The giant search engine Google organises a programming competition, dubbed Google Hash Code, every year for real Google engineering problems to be tackled by students, professionals…etc who compete in teams, and the top teams upon invitation by Google will be presented with further problems and the winners will be awarded a cash prize.

Aro is a Kurdish primary school pupil in Grade 9 from Sulaymaniyah. He entered the compaction with 120,000 other people from all corners of the world and managed to take the 300th position. He has now developed a software application called ‘Kurd Aid’ to be used in health support.

UHD President appreciated Aro’s efforts so he invited him to his office on 26 May 2022, and honoured him. He encouraged him to continue and wished him further success.
