Discussion of Master’s dissertation held at UHD

A viva was organised for a Master’s candidate Hero Abubakir Hama-Murad in the Seminar Hall at the University of Human Development (UHD) on 8th May 2022 to discuss her thesis in law titled ‘Civil responsibility resulting from the spread of viruses, Covid 19 as a case study – a comparative analytical study’ and allow her to defend it in front of a jury.

The jurors were: Prof. Dr Saman Fawzi Omar from the University of Human Development (head of the jury), Asst Prof. Dr Zubir Hussein Mustafa from Sulaimani University (member), Asst Prof. Dr Tahsin Hamad Smail from Soran University (member) and Prof. Dr Dana Hama-Baqi Abdulqadir from Sulaimani University (member and supervisor).

The examination of the thesis and discussion of the subject lasted about three hours, and the candidate was able to give convincing answers to the questions and defend what she has written in her thesis. The jury voted unanimously to award Ms Hero a Master’s Degree.

Hero holds a Bachelor’s Degree in law from UHD. During her years of study, she was an active and outstanding student among her classmates.

The awarded degree is part of a Joint Master Programme between the University of Human Development and Sulaimani University which covers several study areas including Law, Political Science, Banking and Finance, and English Language.
