A joint workshop was organised by the University of Human Development (UHD) in collaboration with two other institutions, the Rehabilitation, Education and Community Health and Golden Time Institute, on establishing and successfully managing small enterprises. The workshop was held in three cities in Sulaymaniyah Governorate and lasted for nine days—15th-17th Nov. in Sulaymaniyah in Golden Time Institute Hall, 22nd-24th in Rania in Art Directorate Hall and 29th Nov.-1st Dec. in Darbandikhan in Darbandikhan Youth Activity Centre.

The workshop focused on three topics: building and managing projects, analysing the local and international environments, and marketing products. It gave the participants, who were largely young and numbered 43, practical steps with regard to the success of a small business: how to establish and develop it; make the right plans and strategies; recognise the strengths and weaknesses of both local and international markets; promote and market the products successfully.

The organisation of this workshop by UHD was part of its wider plans to further its contribution to the development of Kurdish society, economic development through small enterprises as in the case of this workshop, and to that end, it collaborates with other institutions that have similar goals.
