Nostalgia Institute conducted an English language course for prospective students at UHD
Certificate award ceremony by UHD Pedagogy Centre

The Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre at the University of Human Development (UHD) held an award ceremony for its fourth-generation graduates on 24th November 2021. A total of 25 students received certificates which means that they are now officially qualified to teach at public or private universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The UHD Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre is the only type in Sulaymaniyah Governorate that is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government to train Master and PhD holders to teach at Kurdistan universities and institutes. Accepted students complete a six-month course in which they study several modules and get skills on the best and most approved methods of teaching.
The director of the center Assist Prof. Dr Ahmed Omar Bali presided over the ceremony. He welcomed the attendees including the UHD president and members of the presidential council.
After the ceremony commenced, the UHD president Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed praised the efforts of the teachers and students in a speech and congratulated them on their achievements. He referred to UHD’s continuous efforts to always stay a pioneer in the field of education. He mentioned that the UHD sponsored a study course for a team of university lecturers, members of the team included UHD and several other public universities lecturers, at HAMK Häme University of Applied Sciences in Finland several years ago to receive training on pedagogy and modern teaching methods. This was at a time when the whole region was in a big financial crisis. These lecturers now instruct Kurdish higher education graduates to teach at the Kurdistan universities.
Courses are currently underway at the UHD Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre for 34 students.
