On Thursday, July 15, 2021, the University of Human Development, in collaboration with Temple University, hosted an international forum titled ‘The Role of Religion in Society.’

The forum featured Prof. Dr Anwar M. Faraj, the President’s Assistant for Scientific and Post-Graduate Affairs at the University of Human Development, and Prof. Dr Leonard J. Swidler, the founding president of the Dialogue Institute at Temple University.

Prof. Swidler emphasised the importance of dialogue and critical thinking in discussing the creative role of religion in the 21st century, while Prof. Faraj explored both the positive and negative impact of religion in the public sphere.

The event was attended by over 150 teachers and researchers from various universities.
