The President of the University of Human Development Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed received the family of the late student Muhammad Abdullah Jameel who died in the tragic gas explosion last year in November in the city of Sulaymaniyah. Muhammad was a student at the College of Science and Technology at the University of Human Development. He died together with many members of his family and relatives when the devastating accident happened. A three-stories house collapsed completely on its residents when its heating gas system exploded.

The late student’s family thanked the president and UHD for their support and sympathy during the difficult time they had – Dr Mariwan had sent a condolence message and participated in a condolence ceremony held by the deceased student’s friends at UHD following the accident.

UHD President once again expressed his deep sorrow for the loss of this student and all the other members of his family and said that it was heavy on everyone’s heart. He asked forgiveness and mercy from the Almighty for all who lost their lives and comfort for their families and friends.
