The University of Human Development (UHD) held its Autumn Festival on its campus on 14 October 2026. The event allowed students to gather with their friends and families in a vibrant entertainment and recreational atmosphere, while welcoming the local community to visit the campus and engage with the academic institution.
The festival officially commenced at around 11:00 AM following the arrival of the UHD President, Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, alongside Presidential Council members Prof. Dr Anwar Muhammed Faraj and Asst Prof. Dr Hiwa Abubakir Ali. The delegation marked the opening by cutting the ribbon before embarking on a tour of the festival grounds.
Canopy tents were arranged around the main campus square, where vendors displayed local produce, including traditional desserts and dairy products. Visitors enjoyed a variety of traditional and contemporary food and drinks, alongside handmade crafts, cosmetics, and medical products. Additionally, students took the opportunity to showcase their latest scientific projects.
The festival featured a diverse range of activities, including short film screenings, a live music concert by the renowned singer Chia Muhammed, and the final match of the PlayStation tournament. The crowd was also treated to a car-drifting display and a live broadcast of the football match between Real Madrid and Roma.
The 2026 Autumn Festival was organised by the UHD Students Unit, who worked tirelessly over the preceding days to ensure a memorable event for all visitors.
