The course started on 1 July 2025 and ended on 4 January 2026.
Asst Prof. Dr Ahmed Omar Bali, the Director of the Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre, expressed his satisfaction with the course and congratulated the participants for successfully completing it. He stated that they would now hold licenses to teach at universities, institutes, and other higher education institutions. He pointed out that UHD's Pedagogical Training Centre was the first of its kind to be opened in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate, where holders of Master's and PhD degrees can qualify for working as lecturers at universities and institutes.
Dr Bali then handed each participant their Completion Certificate.
Attending a pedagogical training course is compulsory for Master's and PhD degree holders in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq who would like to teach as university lecturers. The course lasts six months, a requirement set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. UHD offers the course twice a year at a reduced rate.
