Certificate award ceremony held for participants of the 11th Course of Pedagogical Training

Participants of the 11th Course of Pedagogical Training at the University of Human Development attended a ceremony on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, to mark the completion of their training; 34 participants received Certificates of Completion. This course started on 24th December 2024 and finished on 28th June 2025.
At the beginning of the event, the Director of the Pedagogy and Academic Development Training Centre, Asst Prof. Dr Ahmed Omar Bali, stated that they are proud to see another batch of students finish the pedagogical courses and hold licenses to give lectures at universities. He pointed out that UHD's Pedagogical Training Centre was the first of its kind to open in Sulaymaniyah Governorate to formally qualify Master's degree and PhD holders to instruct students at universities and other higher education institutions. He finally handed them their certificates.
Attending a pedagogical training course is compulsory for Master's and Ph.D. holders in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to be able to teach at universities and institutes. The duration of the course is six months. UHD offers the course twice a year at a reduced rate. It is usually advertised in the UHD media prior to opening.
