Nostalgia Institute conducted an English language course for prospective students at UHD
English language proficiency course ends with certificate awarding ceremony

A certificate awarding ceremony was held at the University of Human Development (UHD) on 19th January 2023 for the participants of an English language proficiency course which was jointly managed between UHD and Nostalgia Institute.
The aim of the course was to improve the English language skills of first-year university students, UHD freshers in this case.
The course started last year. More than 200 students participated in it and they received certificates today.
The President of UHD, Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, attended the ceremony together with Mr Gharib Salih, the head of the Nostalgia Institute.
In a speech, Prof. Dr Mariwan stated that English is the language of knowledge and science and it is key to getting jobs therefore UHD pays great attention to that language and wants its students to learn it. He said that UHD has run many courses in the past on the English language but the recent course was more intensive and that UHD would continue opening such courses in the future. He mentioned that the founder of the university, Prof. Dr Ali Qaradaghi, encourages and supports English language courses, and upon his recommendation ‘we decided to make them free for all the participants.’ He finally thanked Mr Gharib Salih and his institute.
In return, Mr Salih thanked the UHD president for all their support and for working together and achieving this outcome. He added that the certificate the participants received is accredited by some high-ranking international institutions and students can use them for the purpose of future studies and academic activities aboard and also future jobs.
