UHD marks the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday

University of Human Development (UHD) has marked the occasion of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with a ceremony at Prof. Dr Ali Qaradaghi Hall on Tuesday, 11th October 2022 – We are now in Rabi ul Awal on the Hijri calendar; the month in which Prophet Muhammad was born.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a short speech by Asst Prof. Dr Suhaib Taha, Dean of the College of Languages. He spoke about the most outstanding characteristics of the Prophet and how followers need to embody them. Then began traditional Kurdish songs on the Prophet’s birthday by Bekhud Group, a local musical group with a focus on religious hymns.

Many attended the ceremony including teachers, members of the administrative staff, students, employees and also some guests. The ceremony was organised by the UHD Students Unit.
