Introduction
Recognition is the real philosophy, to achieve coexistence and maintain social peace among the groups of a single society. Recognition is a mechanism that sends to the national partner a state of optimism, a sense of reassurance, and a conviction in the usefulness of communication and dialogue, in order to obtain legitimate rights. In addition, recognition of the other and the psychological readiness to distribute rights and duties in a just manner leads to the provision of a common psychological sphere, in which peace is achieved and prevents slipping into dictatorships that justifies genocide against linguistically, religiously and sectarian diverse groups. Therefore, this conference of Peacebuilding and Prevention of Genocide sends a message of mutual recognition of the tragedy and atrocities committed by the dictatorial regime against the Iraqi people from north to south, and urges that psychological commonalities are mixed with historical, cultural, economic and political commonalities.
The issues of coexistence and peace between religiouخs, confessional and national groups is of central importance in Iraq today. Because of its impact on the strength and cohesion of society in several respects: political, demographic, historical and intellectual, and the convergence of views depends on the multiple shares of wealth, culture, history, common affiliation, and the common historical identity of the groups of society.
In this conference, the genocides committed by dictatorial regimes and extremist organizations will be addressed in separate regions of the world, and in Iraq in particular. The dictatorial regime that ruled Iraq for 35 years committed multiple genocides (forced displacement, mass graves, bombing cities and villages with chemical weapons, Anfal operations) against the Kurdish people in northern Iraq, against the Marsh Arabs in the far south, and against the revolutionaries and civilians during the Shaaban uprising of 1991. And then, through ISIS's crimes against minorities in Mosul, such as the Shabaks and Christians, especially against the Yazidis in Sinjar.
Conference objectives:
1. Emphasizing the importance of a philosophy of recognition that constitutes a psychological and social treatment of the effects of genocide everywhere.
2. Employing human and social sciences curricula in crystallizing social and political recognition that establishes lasting peace and coexistence.
3. Creating and activating the field of studies of sociopathology under which genocides are committed, and providing cultural and social treatments for them in what is termed medical sociology.
