Sponsored by UHD, a group of top students take part in an Exchange program in Van, Turkey

On August 17, 2017 professor Dr. Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, President of University of Human Development, and professor assistant Dr. Rauf Kareem, Dean of College of Languages, attended the departure of a number of UHD top students from the English Department, College of Languages, who traveled to Van city in Northern Kurdistan, Turkey. The aim of the tour was to attend in a program at Yuzuncu Yil University, which is the only university in the latter city with more than thirty eight thousand students.
The tour, which will last for 10 days, is fully sponsored by University of Human Development. It comes within an MOU signed between the two universities during a symposium that was held for the universities in Kurdistan Region and the universities of Turkey in May 2017. In that symposium, University of human development participated as the only private university from Kurdistan Region. Fifteen of the top students from the English departments were selected for this program along with a number of University teachers from the same department. This is the start of similar exchange program between University of Human Development and universities in north Kurdistan and Turkey. At the departure of the students, the president of University of Human Development wished a travel full of achievements for the students and asked them to be positive representatives of their university and country. The president also wished that this would be a good start for this program and other similar programs. The president remained with the students along with their families until their departure, making sure they travel safely. The students are now at Yuzuncu Yil University in the city of Van.
