University of human development investigates the economical circumstances and the effects of migrants in an international Symposium

On November 30, 2016, the College of economy and administration held an international symposium in which they discussed the economical circumstances and the effects of migrants in Kurdistan region, The occasion was supervised by the minister of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and it was attended by professor Dr. Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, president of UHD, members of university board as well as a number of university teachers.
A number of topics were presented in the symposium, beginning with Dr. Sa'ad Abd-alqahar, representative of economy and administration college, who gave a brief report about families and individual incomes in Kurdistan Region and the effects of the crisis.
Afterwards, Mr. Mahmood Osman, the director of statistics in Slemani, gave a presentation in which he showed a bibliography concerning the migrants who came to Kurdistan Region.
Moreover, Mr. Shadman Mahmood, representative of UNHCR gave some statistics revealing the number of migrants who flowed into the cities and towns of Kurdistan.
In the end, the attendance asked their questions about the presented topics.
