The University of Human Development Discusses the Future of Political Process in Kurdistan and Iraq

Today's afternoon, Thursday 23/2/2017, Prof. Dr. Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed the president of University of Human Development, welcomed the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Yusuf Goran, to present his paper in the symposium held at UHD entitled "The Future of the Political Process in Kurdistan and Iraq".
This symposium was organized by the Development Center of Research and Training (DCRT) in partnership with the Center of Future Studies that was comprised of two panels. The first panel consisted of Dr. Yusuf Goran (minster of Higher Education and Scientific Research), Prof. Dr. Anwar Mohamed Faraj (The President's Assistant for Scientific Affairs) and Prof. Dr. Zana Rauf was the moderator of the panel. The researchers shed light on the current challenges in Kurdistan examining causes of the crisis and methods to solve it.
The second panel consisted of Assist. Prof. Dr. Omed Rafiq, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Kanaan Hamma Gharib, and Dr. Zimkan Ali was the moderator. Each of the speakers shed light on some aspects of the Iraqi's crisis and means to the solution.
At the end of each panel, questions were asked by both faculty members and students, and the panelists provided answers explaining and enriching the information given on the topics.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Human Development's symposium "The Future of the Political Process in Kurdistan and Iraq" was attended by researchers from UHD and other universities in As- Sulaymaniyah. At the end of the scientific activity, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research answered questions from the press.
